Speed Training

Strong, fast hands are very important to you, no matter what sport you play.

It makes it so much easier to shoot, dribble, catch, throw, or swing when you have strong hands…

This video will show you some cool drills you can do to get great hands.

You can do all these exercises WITHOUT the weighted gloves.

I’ve never done any weighted glove workouts, so I cannot comment on their effectiveness.

Anyway, here is a summary of the drills in the video that improve hand strength:

Core Training (with Weighted Gloves)

  • One-Handed Backhand Tennis Ball Toss
  • One-Handed Ball Balance Crunches (A heavyball or medicine ball can be used as an alternative).

Hand Speed Drills

  • Speed Hand Crawling (on agility ladder)
  • Basketball Lift, Drop, Catch Speed Drill (A heavy ball or medicine ball can be used as an alternative)

Sport Skill Work

  • Side to Side Reaction Sprints (Using the reaction ball and cones)
  • One-Hand Dribble, One-Hand Toss Hand-Eye Coordination Drill
